Well.... just came back from my department outing to the turf club today. There was a bus transporting everyone to the place and we even got to leave work one hour earlier... how shiok can it be...lalalala... Hehe... it was quite an interesting experience betting on the horse of your choice and shouting like a mad women hoping that your horse would run out first.... In the first race, my big boss had already won some money while we were still figuring out how to play the game. Then in the second race, my big boss won again and some of my collegues were saying that he must be analysing the race in his room all day or he must have bought over the horses... hehe... Well... i bet for a few rounds and i lost $20.00 in total thanks to my collegues who wanted to leave the place earlier. If i had stayed on till the end of the races, who knows how much i would have lost... lalala

Now i wanna tok about something else.... something painful... something i should have cried about but didint.... that is.... my mp3 player was stolen in the office..... my Creative ZEN Micro was stolen while i was away for my lunch... the thief tok the player, the headphones, the stand, the pouch, and even the charger..... EVEN the charger.... and the thief managed to do it without messing up my table.... definately the person would missplace a few items in order to remove the charger, but no... my table was in its original position...haizz... Well.. i believe that most ppl would get angry, sad or mad after they have been robbed... and all i felt that day was "did it happened to me???"... and i just asked around a few people, and let it go... I know that i would never see it again no matter how hard i would look for it...so i didnt feel anything...

From this experience i got to know the people in my department better i think, all of my team members came to console me even though i didnt tell them personally that my player was lost, and some other ppl also console me... those ppl i will remember.. for in times of need... true friends or REAL people spirits will show... so now i am again in the search for a mp3 player to replace my lost one... anyone who have any lobang please tell me....

Less then one week ago i turned 23 yr old. Wasnt a eventful birthday this year, didnt have any celebrations but i am thankful for all the birthday wishes... my team mates even bought a handphone pouch for me.... so happy... lalala. Then today my boss gave the entire team a treat as sort of belated birthday celebrations for me... hehe

Speaking about today... today has been quite a lousy day for me... firstly i found out that i had someone managed to let my handphone get connected to the Wap network for god knows how long.... and secondly i got involved in office politics.

Well.... i recieved an email from my team mate asking me to respond to some error that some user was facing while he was accessing the Sharepoint portal site. So i discussed with my teammate on the kind of respond that i should give to the user. So i forwarded the email that was sent to me to the affected person. Who knows that affected person is some BIG BIG shot in the company... and those other collegues who were discussing the resolution in the email where saying why i forward the mail with their conversations attached as well... then say that i am unprofessional by doing that lar... saying my respond to that user's error was not sent in a professional manner...saying that i should have give a better drafted response to that person.... blar blar blar.... then the person who buai song forwarded the email to one of the directors in the department saying that someone in my team would respond to the error... and that director forward the email to the managing director... and you know... the small matter becomes a huge tumor in your back... and im the one whos going to carry the tumor around...WtF man... My boss was saying that the department that we are all working in plays politics every other second which he didnt like and i believed him but not until today did i experience the FULL BLAST of the political effect... So now i going to see how the wind blows and pray hard that i did enough good deeds in my life to tide me over this... hahaha..

Well, once more week has passed and my bday is slowly creeping up behind my shoulders. NOOOOooo... what shld i get for myself this year?? maybe a bottle of air prehaps... hmm... Well, yesterday my department celebrated the birthday of my big boss who turns 49 this year. It was a very interesting experience to be part of the celebration. We even secretly went into his room while he was away for meeting to scribble birthday wishes on his whiteboard. So cheapo right.. hee... then we had the celebration in a conference room where everyone waited in the dark to "fake" surprise him when he steps into the room. So we sing song for him, let him give his 5 secs worth of speech and take pictures of him with one mountain of "Shou Tao" and then everyone rushed for the food. We had self service nasi lemak, with roasted pig, and muffins, and satay, otak... and Ben and Jerry ice cream... lalala.. Make me think of my bday celebration last yr where we had soon kwei and cake.... hee

I think i am being condemmed by one of the VPs in the department. First she remembers my name (ppl usually remember the names of ppl they hate) and secondly she diaos me everytime we accidently look at each other. Isit chemistry or isit comdemment?? lets wait and see...

Another week has come and gone just like that. Work was interesting as usual as i am still in the learning process. Well, my collegue whom i was supposed to work with went on leave for three days and i had to back him up. Luckily no major problems happened that i couldnt handle while he was away. Just that i had to attend some meetings and give some insights on the server configurations.... which im still not very powderful in... I learnt of some server optimization tasks and proceedures that could be done.. and some other things..

One thing interesting was once my collegue came back from work, nobody ask me for help le..cause im not a pro and just a backup in other ppls eyes...well..if thats the case i need to work harder on my job performance le.....somemore my boss praised my collegues but forgot about me even though i took part in the same work.... well... maybe he forgot bah... or because i didnt make it clear in my timesheet entries... lalalala... I think i am trying to jump 100 metres when i can only reach 50..i dun like to be looked down upon... or think lightly of when im not in the correct situations.... I WAN TO BE POWDERFUL!!... (in my next life bah)...

COMEX started this thursday at Suntec City. Went there after lunch twice to source for a ADSL router and RAM for my desktop. I managed to find a bargain from one of the Sim Lim vendors for a ADSL router with wireless capabilities, builtin modem, and 4 ethernet ports. This shop was selling it at 40 dollars less then the manufacturer's booth which was just next to it. Cool huh... hehe... The installation of the router was quite simple, but the advanced configuration took a while to navigate around. Well... that the things that i wanna say today.. stay tuned.
